The abbreviation of air cooler is a heat exchange equipment that is most widely used for condensation and cooling in petrochemical and oil and gas processing production. Air cooled heat exchanger are generally composed of tube bundles, tube boxes, fans, shutters and frames.

Air cooled heat exchanger use ambient air as a cooling medium to sweep across the outside of the finned tubes to cool or condense the high-temperature process fluid in the tubes. It is referred to as “air cooler” or “air-cooled heat exchanger”.
