Winding finned tube process
In this article, I want to tell you how to choose the conventional finned tube radiator.
Generally speaking, carbon steel seamless tubes or stainless steel seamless tubes are used for coiled fin heat exchanger tubes.
The outer diameters of the base tubes are 18 mm, 21 mm, 22 mm, 25 mm, 32 mm, and 38 mm. The key point of the base tube selection is how we need to design the heat exchange fluid process of the finned tube radiator
Finned tube
Parameter 2: finned tube radiator fin thickness
We usually use carbon steel fins and stainless steel fins for fins. The fin structure is mainly made of steel strips made of two materials.
The thickness of the steel strips that can be selected is usually 0.2mm-0.3mm. The thicker the fins, the more difficult it is to process, and the higher the requirements for the abrasive tools and machines of the winding machine, but the higher the fin thickness, the better, because the heat conduction is transmitted layer by layer, and the thicker fins are used in time. The improvement of heat transfer efficiency is also limited.
Parameter 3: fin height of finned tube radiator
The height of the fins affects the finned heat transfer area of the product. From the actual production experience, the height of the fins currently used mainly uses three heights, which are 10mm, 12.5mm and 15mm.
The selected standard It is mainly based on the needs of the heat exchange process and the selection of the base tube. It is best to consult clearly when selecting the type.
